The recordings she publishes document her daily life in her suitor’s home.

The adventures of a Chinese woman have gone viral on social media, as she herself published video diaries documenting her life after being trapped in the house of a man with whom she had a blind date, just as they confined the city of Zhengzhou to contain new outbreaks of covid-19.

«I’m getting quite old, so my parents arranged more than 10 blind dates for me,» said the woman, identified as Wang, on the Chinese social network WeChat.

Wang said that the man she was meeting on their fifth date, scheduled for last Sunday, wanted to demonstrate his culinary skills, so he invited her to his home to cook dinner for him. The situation was not the most ideal, as as soon as he finished dinner he learned that the area in which his suitor lived was confined by an outbreak of coronavirus.

Unable to leave that home, she said she had gone to the city on a week-long trip to meet potential suitors in the southern province of Guangdong. Since then, Wang has posted videos documenting his daily life. The man is sometimes seen cooking for both of them or doing housework while she rests.
