At family lunches and dinners, seafood is one of the key foods: prawns, langoustines, barnacles… The first thing to do is to be clear about what kind of seafood are we going to serve because not all of them are the same and therefore we cannot treat them in the same way.
How to freeze seafood for Christmas?
Prawns, prawns or langoustines are very popular at Christmas. These must be frozen without having previously cooked them. When defrosting them, the ideal is to put them in the fridge 24 hours before cooking them.
In the event that we want to serve crabs, crabs, lobsters or small crabs, the recommendation of the experts is to buy them alive. Then, we cook them at home and, once cooked, we put them in the freezer.

When cooking the shellfish, the pan should be wide enough to fit comfortably. We must add between 60 and 70 grams per liter of waterand we can also add a couple of bay leaves.
A very important fact to keep in mind is that if the shellfish is alive, we have to cook it in cold water. Once it reaches the boiling point, start counting the cooking time.
