VIDEO: Gio Urshela’s homer that ended Justin Verlander’s no-hitter

Gio Urshela earned the role of MLB villain of the day, for connecting a single that ended with the no-hitter of the star starter of the Houston Astros, Justin Verlander.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, the Minnesota Twins’ Colombian infielder took advantage of a pitch in the outside corner to hit a hit to right field that ended the magic of Verlander’s no-hit, no-run game.

In this way, the 39-year-old pitcher was only 5 outs away from achieving another important milestone in his brilliant career in the Major Leagues.
