The San Francisco Giants enjoyed Darin Ruf’s first hit of the series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, which served to even the score at one run in the sixth inning, Game 5 of the MLB Division Series.
Ruf was 9-0 in the match against the Californian team. However, the tall slugger was able to catch a fastball from Mexico’s Julio Urías and deposited it at the top of center field to celebrate his first home run of the postseason.
The 35-year-old veteran Ruf played four years in the Korean league before this season, before his return to the major leagues. In the regular season he had a .271 average, with 16 homers and 43 RBIs in 117 games played.
