The Official State Gazette (BOE) of this Wednesday May 11 publishes the concession by King Felipe VI of the Collar of the Order of Isabella the Catholic Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, owner of the Paris Saint Germain.

The concession is made, according to the announcement of the BOE, at the proposal of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation and after the deliberation carried out by the Council of Ministers at the meeting held this Tuesday.

The Collar of the Order of Isabel the Catholic is the highest degree of the aforementioned Orderahead of the Grand Cross, the Number Commendation, the Commendation, the Officer’s Cross, the Cross, the Silver Cross, the Silver Medal and the Bronze Medal.

The purpose of granting this award is to «reward extraordinary conduct of a civil nature that benefit the Nation or that contribute, in a significant way, to fostering friendly relations and cooperation between the Spanish Nation and the rest of the international community», according to the Regulations of the Order of Isabella the Catholic published in the BOE of November 21, 1998.

The concession coincides in time with the presence in Madrid, this Tuesday, of Kylian Mbappé, a great figure of PSG whose future points to the Santiago Bernabéu, and of Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of the French team, who attended a summit of the ECA (European Association of Clubs) that was held in the capital .
