Oliver Marmol and Stubby Clapp are candidates to lead the Cardinals in 2022

After the departure of Mike Shildt from the St. Louis Cardinals, after falling in the National League wild card game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, interesting candidacies for the managerial position begin to fall for the 2022 campaign of MLB.

Oliver Marmol and Stubby Clapp will be interviewed for the position, according to a report from MLB Network journalist Jon Morosi. The Cardinals like inside promotions, so the options for both coaches don’t look far-fetched.

Another team without a strategist, the San Diego Padres, is running Skip Schumaker, according to Morosi. It will be a winter of movements for both teams.
