Nassir Little has undergone a surgical procedure

The Portland Trail Blazers player, Nassir Little, underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair a muscle injury in the abdomen, as announced by the franchise itself through an official statement.

The forward’s promising season came to an end at the end of last January due to a torn labrum in his left shoulder that required surgery. Selected 25th in the 2019 draft, Little’s numbers rose this season to 9.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 25.9 minutes.

Although the Blazers underwent major roster changes before the market closed — and new ones are expected this offseason — Little is seen as part of the organization’s plans for the future. He will be eligible for his rookie extension starting in July.

As the Oregon franchise has shared, Little is expected to be fully recovered to participate in training camp with his teammates.
