The Houston Rockets are one of the teams that must make the most decisions in the final week of preseason. As the worst team in the league during the past year, the number and youth of the players they have make their training camp a casting of open places. In this dance of names and exhibition contracts, Armoni Brooks has earned the right to stay linked with the franchise, although he will do it as a two-way player. Which implies that he will be on a par with Rockets and his affiliate in the G League.
Brooks already played last year in these conditions, reaching 20 games with Stephen Silas’ team. With a reasonable 26 minutes on average, the shooting guard was able to reach double figures in scoring per night. Some 11.2 points that came essentially from the triple throws in which he reached a 38% success rate. This season, he will again be eligible to play 50 NBA games, earning a total of $ 462,000. After starting training camp on a test contract, his preseason participation was enough to ensure his continuity in Houston.
