Brewers plan to use Jean Carlos Mejía as a reliever

The Milwaukee Brewers have among their plans for Jean Carlos Mejía to be one of the team’s relievers in the 2022 MLB season, The Athletic noted.

The Dominican, who had a 1.50 ERA in 18 innings in the Dominican Winter League in 2021, made his major league debut in 2021 with the Cleveland Guardians.

With the American League organization, he finished with an 8.25 ERA in 52.1 innings of work.

Mejía is a pitcher with a good fastball. The Brewers want to use his speed to polish him at relief duty and include him in their bullpen for the upcoming season.
