Manchester City already has Erling Haaland and PSG, who had also bid for the young Norwegian crack, is now looking for a scorer to cover the hypothetical departure of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid.
On Thursday, the Portuguese newspaper O Jogo reported that PSG’s main target has become Darwin Núñez, for whom it is preparing a mega-offer of 120 million euros.
Sources from Benfica confirm that PSG has requested a meeting with its president Rui Costa to negotiate the operation and, although Darwin Núñez has a termination clause of 150 million euros in the contract that expires in June 2025, he would agree to the departure of the Uruguayan scorer, 22 years old, for those 120 million.
Almería would receive a 20 percent capital gain
ENüñez is on the radar of major European clubs, including Milan, Manchester United, Chelsea or Atlético, after confirming himself as a top-level striker this season after arriving at Benfica in 2020 from Almería. The Andalusian club, by the way, will receive 20% of the capital gain from the transfer after selling it two years ago for 24 million.
The already Uruguayan international has scored 26 goals in the 28 games he has played in the 2021-2022 Portuguese First League, while in the Champions League he helped Benfica reach the quarterfinals with his 6 goals in 10 games.
