Dwayne Johnson is currently one of the highest-paid actors in the industry, but he wasn’t always as fortunate as he is today. He now shared on social networks a difficult moment that he experienced in his childhood.
Dwayne Johnson, better known as «The Rock» in the middle of the show, is an actor who has earned the love and respect of many viewers. The former fighter has shown to have an attractive charisma and a bright personality. However, Johnson’s life was not always rosy.
During his childhood, he and his family were evicted from their home in Hawaii in 1987, when he was just 14 years old. At that time they had to leave the island and move to a small hotel in Nashville in Tennessee.
Through a video on his Instagram account, the actor told how he used to steal a chocolate bar every day while living in Hawaii, since he had no money to pay for it.
In his video, we see Johnson returning to the 7-Eleven branch that was where he used to go as a 14-year-old in Hawaii. In this regard, he pointed out that every day he used to go to the store when he was 14 years old to steal a King-size chocolate bar of the Snickers brand for almost a year, which he used as his pre-workout meal when he went to the gym, but that due to lack of money he could not pay.
When his family left town, the actor could not pay off his debt and until now he had lived with the feeling that he had done something wrong in his soul.
«The same employee was there every day and always turned her head and never accused me,» La Roca explained in the publication of his video. “I have exercised a few demons over the years (I still have a few left); so I know this seems really silly, but every time I come home to Hawaii and drive by the 7-11… I always knew I had to go and buy every Snickers bar they had, the right way.”

Upon arrival, the actor caused quite a stir among customers, who couldn’t believe they were meeting one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood in person. But they were even more surprised when the actor took all the chocolate bars from the branch and took them to the checkout to buy them.
Already in the box they begin to count all the chocolate, while the actor remembers his experience and the reason why he does it. Also, he takes the opportunity to pay the bill for each of the customers who were lining up to pay for his products.
“I used to steal a Snickers every day… I had to go back and I had to buy them, if you know what I mean?” explains the Rock to the employee of the store named BK who does not pay much attention when counting the chocolate.
In the end, your account is a total of $298 between the chocolates and what you paid for all the customers in the store. It can be seen how he gives several bills to the two store employees and points out that this is only for them.
About the chocolate bars, he asks them to give them away every time they see that a person seems to be stealing one so they don’t.
«After decades of waiting to come home and to this 7-11 and looking to do good, this felt really, really good,» the actor explains at the end of the video.
Within the material you can see how Dwayne Johnson or La Roca took the time to take pictures with all the customers in the store, the employees and even with a family that recognized him while recording the farewell video with his cell phone.
